Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Machame Gate – Hike to Machame Camp
Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Ascend into the heath and moorland zone, crossing ridges and valleys with breathtaking views of Mawenzi Peak. Arrive at Shira Camp (3,840 meters), where you’ll enjoy stunning sunset views.

Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower
Hike towards Lava Tower (4,600 meters) for acclimatization before descending into Barranco Valley (3,960 meters). This day follows the “climb high, sleep low” method, reducing the risk of altitude sickness.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Climb the famous Barranco Wall, a steep but rewarding section of the trek. The trail then leads to Karanga Camp (3,995 meters), where you’ll rest and prepare for the final ascent.

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (Summit Base Camp)

Your summit attempt begins around midnight, ascending to Stella Point (5,756 meters), followed by the final trek to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters). After celebrating at the summit, descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters).

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate – Return to Arusha/Moshi
Descend through rainforest trails, reaching Mweka Gate (1,640 meters). Receive your summit certificate before transferring back to Arusha or Moshi.
